The 2024 festive season begins early for Safaricom subscribers! In celebrating its 24-year journey of connecting and transforming the lives of Kenyans, Safaricom is rolling out an array of extraordinary service and product offerings under the theme, "24 Years of Transforming Lives: Celebrating Through Service".

CEO of Safaricom Peter Ndegwa, expressing gratitude to loyal customers, says: “As we celebrate 24 years of connecting Kenyans, I want to thank you for joining us on this incredible journey. Your trust has been the driving force behind our evolution from a telecommunications provider to a beacon of innovation, empowerment, and progress in Kenya.”

In year-long celebrations, Safaricom will shower its customers across the nation with exciting surprises. “Expect special M-PESA offers, merchandise giveaways, Mama Packs, transportation perks, and other thrilling rewards designed to show appreciation for your unwavering support,” the CEO says.

Over the past two decades, Safaricom has transformed from a purely mobile network operator to a pivotal player in Kenya’s technological, economic, and social landscape. With ground-breaking services like M-PESA, the company has revolutionised how Kenyans live, work, and transact, significantly enhancing financial inclusion and creating new opportunities.

Safaricom has also dramatically improved network connectivity, evolving from basic 2G services to the cutting-edge 5G technology, which offers lightning-fast internet speeds and fosters innovation. This transformation has immensely contributed to Kenya’s position as a leader in the global digital economy.

Beyond its impressive business achievements, Safaricom’s deep commitment to making a difference in the community is also visible. The company’s social arm – Safaricom Foundation – has invested billions of shillings in health, education, economic empowerment, and environmental conservation, driving positive change.

As part of its 24th anniversary celebrations, Safaricom will host a series of engaging activities aimed at connecting with customers, investors, communities, partners, employees, and the media.
