Zetech University is one of the leading private universities in Kenya offering MBA, Bachelor's, Diploma and Certificate programs in Faculties of ICT, Business, Engineering, Media, Education, Social Sciences and Hospitality.

Its conception dates back to 1999 when it was a Centre for ICT training. The institution has since been accredited by the Commission for University Education in Kenya as an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution. The University takes pride in its three campuses and over 69,000 alumni.

The institution lives up to its motto invent your future, by heavily investing in technology and ICT, which saw it be one of the few universities that transitioned to and sustained Open Distance E-learning throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Besides maintaining uninterrupted studying in unprecedented times, the open and distance learning approach offers students flexibility and choices in terms of what, when, at what pace, where, and how they prefer to study.

Zetech University upholds partnerships and collaborations with industry players. This lays a foundation in supporting innovation, dissemination of knowledge, boosting research, community empowerment and ultimately contributes towards economic growth.

A partnership with Light for The World International and Standard Chartered Bank has seen the University offer a 9-month long employability and disability inclusivity training to its students.

Zetech has also partnered with the ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs and become part of Ajira Digital Kenya; an initiative by the government of Kenya that enhances employability among youth. This partnership has midwifed the birth of the Zetech Ajira Club with over 2000 registered and trained students.

The University has also partnered with CEMES and Tharaka Nithi County Government to mentor its students through internships and equip students with employability skills.

According to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Njenga Munene, the University’s partnerships across various sectors benefits students by preparing them to align their skills with the current job market needs, while also placing the university on the radar and making it a preferred institution for mentorships and employment opportunities.

Given the current economic challenges in the country, the University has ensured that tuition fees are not only competitively priced but also have flexible payment plans.

Moreover, students that represent Zetech University through their sports teams receive academic sponsorships from the institution. Additionally, both government and self-sponsored degree students admitted to Zetech University are eligible for HELB loans.

The institution is founded on quality control and improvement. DVC (ARES) Dr. Alice Njuguna assures new students that, “Programs offered at our institution either meet or surpass the expectations outlined by the Commission of University Education (CUE) and requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology .

All the courses offered are subjected to continuous improvement to ensure that they align with the needs of the industry. Take advantage of Zetech University’s January 2022 intake and enjoy a premier campus experience that will unlock unlimited opportunities for research, innovation and technology.”
