If you are a soccer fan, you’re no doubt excited about the upcoming FIFA World Cup, set for June 11 to July 19, 2026. You are not alone. Millions of fans across the world are looking forward to watching this magical event that promises exciting and indeed emotionally charged entertainment.
Like those millions, you’re likely to watch the games from home or at a nearby entertainment establishment. You’ll engage in playful banter with other fans as you root for your favourite team.
One thing that will unite you all, irrespective of the team you support is a TV set.
During this World Cup season, the quality of the TV set you sit around matters. You want the best viewing experience ever, preferably that offered by a smart TV with a wide screen.
And so, you may think of buying yourself a new TV that has the brightness, clarity and sound you desire. Do not worry. You can get the TV you want and the latest edition for that matter, right here in Kenya.
Mega multi-brands distributor Hotpoint Appliances Limited (HAL) and innovative global consumer electronics and appliances maker Hisense have teamed up to bring you exactly the kind of TV you need.
On May 15, 2026, the two firms unveiled a strategic partnership that brings next-generation home entertainment, smart appliances, and AI-powered technologies to Kenyan consumers through Hotpoint’s nationwide retail and distribution network.
Hisense’s product range is a complete home ecosystem, from televisions and audio to refrigerators, laundry, built-in appliances, and air conditioning.
During the event, HAL chief executive officer Mr Ravi Kanani said: “Hisense is one of the most powerful appliance and consumer electronics brands in the world – and it was only a matter of time before Kenya’s leading appliance retailer and one of the world’s top appliance manufacturers found each other.”
Hotpoint has been appointed as the official distributor of Hisense for the formal trade segment in Kenya. That appointment, Mr Kanani pointed out, reflects the confidence Hisense has placed in Hotpoint. “We take that responsibility seriously,” he added.

“Partnering with Hotpoint marks a defining milestone in Hisense’s Africa growth strategy and reflects our long-term commitment to the Kenyan market. Together, we are bringing Kenyan consumers some of the world’s latest and most advanced innovations across home entertainment and smart living,” said the President of Hisense MEA and India, Mr Jason Ou, during the unveiling of the partnership.
Referring to the upcoming global soccer event, Mr Ou said: “As we build toward the FIFA World Cup 2026, we are excited to bring fans in Kenya closer to the action through immersive viewing experiences powered by world-class technology, premium design, intelligent connectivity, as well as engaging activations and nationwide FIFA campaign experiences.”
The partnership combines Hisense’s global innovation leadership with Hotpoint’s nationwide retail and service expertise to bring award-winning smart entertainment and home appliance technologies to Kenyan consumers ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The partnership was launched alongside a major nationwide campaign timed to the football season and inspired by Hisense’s role as an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
As part of the campaign, customers purchasing selected Hisense smart TVs through Hotpoint will receive one complimentary month of DStv Compact subscription, valued at Ksh4,200. Hisense smart TVs come pre-loaded with DStv Stream, enabling consumers to enjoy premium sports and entertainment experiences seamlessly from their homes.
Together, Hotpoint and Hisense aim to redefine how Kenyan consumers experience entertainment, smart living, and connected home technologies.
Every Hisense product sold through Hotpoint is genuine, fully warranted, and supported by Hisense’s global service standards. Consumers no longer need to navigate grey-market channels or uncertainty about warranty coverage. Hotpoint is the definitive, authorised source for Hisense in Kenya.
Here is a brief profile of several products that represent the best of what the hotpoint-Hisense partnership can offer Kenyan consumers right now:
RGB MiniLED TV – UR8S / UR9S Series
This is Hisense’s most advanced television technology that represents the most significant step forward in TV display since OLED. RGB MiniLED uses inorganic materials to produce red, green, and blue light directly, giving control over both colour and brightness simultaneously.

PureView Door Quad-Door Refrigerator — RQ Series
The RQ Series is Hisense’s flagship refrigerator and the product it is most excited to introduce to Kenyan homes. The defining innovation is the PureView Door – a see-through panel on the upper door that lets you check what is inside your fridge without opening it. This series won the Red Dot award in 2026 for its superb design. Red Dot is a prestigious international design competition based in Germany.
5i Laundry Range
The 5i series is our intelligent laundry range, and its headline feature is the Stain Removal Program. This is an AI-assisted wash programme that identifies the type of stain from a list of nine, including grass, wine, coffee, blood, and oil, and automatically adjusts the wash temperature, drum speed, and cycle duration to tackle it effectively while protecting the fabric. In practical terms: Tough on stains, gentle on your clothes. Alongside this, the 5i range offers inverter motor technology for energy efficiency and durability, and multiple wash programmes for different fabric types and loads.
Built-in Appliances and Air Conditioning
Hisense is also bringing its built-in appliance range to Kenya. They include ovens, hobs, extractor hoods, and dishwashers, targeting the premium kitchen segment and the growing B2B and property developer market. The air conditioning range, covering both residential inverter split units and commercial systems, completes the Hisense home ecosystem and positions the brand strongly in Kenya’s growing cooling market.
