More than 12 years after he mysteriously disappeared from his home, the remains of Silvano Kipraisi Tubei, the former managing director of the Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA), will finally be buried, bringing an end to the agony his family says they have endured while searching for him.
Mr Tubei went missing on September 26, 2012 and his remains were discovered on December 31, 2023 by a farm worker who was clearing a thicket on the 60-acre Chekurmum farm in Kapyemit village, Keiyo South, Elgeyo Marakwet County. His remains were covered with a blanket.
