Sirisia celebrates MP Waluke's release after graft conviction
Residents of Sirisia Constituency, Bungoma County, celebrate the High Court ruling that freed their MP John Waluke following his imprisonment over a Sh297 million maize scandal.
Mr Waluke was freed alongside his co-accused Grace Wakhungu in a case concerning a Sh297 million maize scandal at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).
Mark Wafula from Malakisi claimed Mr Waluke was targeted for supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 bid for the presidency.
Leaders and residents of Sirisia Constituency in Bungoma County Monday burst into celebrations after the High Court released their MP John Waluke on bail in a high profile graft case.
Mr Waluke was freed alongside his co-accused Grace Wakhungu in a case concerning a Sh297 million maize scandal at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).
