High Court upholds MP Leo Wamuthende's election victory

Leo Wa Muthende to Newton Kariuki: The court has ruled, and if you want to appeal again, I am ready

The High Court in Embu has dismissed the Mbeere North election petition after finding that the petitioner did not prove his case.

Consequently, the court has declared Leo Wamuthende the validly elected MP of the Constituency.

The judge ruled that the petition filed by his closest competitor in the poll, Mr Newton Kariuki Ndwiga, had no merit and did not meet the threshold to nullify the outcome of the by-election.
