Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa to be charged with corruption on Monday

Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has been summoned by a Mombasa to plead to four corruption charges.
Among the accusations is conspiracy to steal Sh19 million meant for the Constituency Development Fund.
The court also ordered the lawmaker to present herself to police for processing before taking plea on Monday.
Ms Jumwa also faces conflict of interest, money laundering and acquisition of proceeds of crime charges.
Her co-accused are Mr Wachu Omar, Mr Kennedy Otieno, Mr Bernard Riba, Ms Sophia Saidi, Ms Margaret Kalume, Mr Robert Katana and Multiserve contractors Ltd who have already appeared in court.
They denied the charges and were each released on Sh10 million bond with sureties.
According to the prosecution, the offences were committed between May 14 and October 12, 2018.
