What you need to know:
- Ms Jumwa is charged with conspiracy to defraud the public of Sh19 million.
- She was freed on a Sh5 million bond with surety or a Sh2 million cash bail.
Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa will not be in court during the mention of her corruption case on October 2.
The prosecution did not oppose the MP’s defence team when it asked for the exemption. The court was told that the lawyers have been supplied with the files the prosecution intends to use during the proceedings.
