Police in Kirinyaga have arrested three suspects over the murder of a watchman.
The suspects were seized when police raided their hideout on Friday evening in Kutus town.
Mwea East police boss Emmanuel Opuru said the suspects will face murder charge after investigation are complete.
The watchman was hacked to death and another one was seriously injured on Monday night during a violent robbery in Ndomba area.
The survivor was admitted to Kerugoya Referral Hospital in critical condition.
The guards were attacked when armed gangsters raided Ndomba sewerage construction site.
Locals said the gangsters struck at around 3am and confronted the two guards.
The guards fought back but were overpowered by the armed men.
The gangsters stole construction materials, vehicle batteries and other valuables worth thousands of shillings, police said.
