Kwale policeman, wife found dead in suspected murder-suicide

A police officer and his wife were found dead in their house within Lunga Lunga Police Station in Kwale County early on Sunday.

A police report seen by the Nation says the bodies of officer Tonik Okoth Oloo and his wife Lucy Atieno, 28, had gunshot wounds.

"The officer and his wife were found dead lying in a pool of blood," it stated.

The incident took place at around 4am on Sunday and was reported under OB 05/6/12/2020.

A Ceska pistol, registration number F9677, and three spent cartridges of 9mm bullets were found at the scene.

Police launched an investigation and took the bodies to Kinango Hospital mortuary.
