Two activists from Bunge la Mwananchi have sued Kenya Railways Managing Director Philip Mainga.
They allege that he orchestrated a forceful incursion and attempted demolition of properties occupied by Kencont Logistics Services Ltd, a company linked to Kanu chairman Gideon Moi, in Mombasa on May 16-17.
The petitioners claim that Kenya Railways Corporation divested its interest in the land in the 1990s, rendering Mainga's actions unlawful interference with private property and an abuse of office, particularly as Kencont Logistics Services Ltd holds valid leases and has received no formal complaints from KRC.

Ms Zipporah Juma and Mr Salim Mvuria, members of Bunge la Mwananchi (Mombasa Branch), claim that Mr Mainga, acting through agents and police proxies under his command, coordinated the incursion on the evening of May 16.
