Bodies of Utumishi fire victims to be released Friday
Director of Homicide Martin Nyuguto address parents and relatives of the 16 students from Utumishi Girls Senior School who perished in a dormitory fire on Thursday night before the start of the postmortem and identification of the bodies at Naivasha Sub-county Hospital Funeral Home on May 30, 2026.
Families of the 16 girls who died at the Utumishi Girl’s Senior school fire tragedy will finally collect the remains of their children for burial after the requiem mass slated for Friday.
The announcement comes days after the grieving parents left the Naivasha Sub-County Hospital mortuary disappointed after they were unable to leave the morgue with the bodies of the deceased despite the completion of the DNA identification process.
