The search for a missing Nakuru M-Pesa attendant, who mysteriously disappeared after leaving to deposit money in a bank, has tragically ended after her body was found at the Nakuru city mortuary.

According to a family member, Mr Samuel Muiruri, they had visited Kaptembwa police station on April 28 to circulate a photo of Waithera to help in the search.
He said that after narrating their story, an officer informed them that a decomposing body of a female was discovered on May 26, dumped at the Technology farm in Nakuru West Sub County.
The officer told the family that the body was moved to Nakuru City mortuary and that they should visit the facility to check it out.
According to Mr Muiruri, at the morgue, they found the body was that of Waithera.
“We have been visiting various police stations and leaving her photo so that it can be pinned on the notice boards. Today we went to Ngata police station and proceeded to Kaptembwa. We never imagined that we would find her dead. We had hopes that she would return alive, but she is no more,” he said

The residents informed the management, who later reported the matter to the police.
“We have been referred to the Central Police Station for more details since the initial report was made there. She has been lying in the morgue for the past three days as an unclaimed body,” he said.
Another relative Ms Ann Nduta, called on detectives to conduct a speedy investigation to unravel what happened to her.
According to Nakuru West Sub County police Commander Stephen Kirui, they received information on Monday from one of the farm managers that they had found a decomposing body within the property.
He said that officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the National Police Service rushed to the scene, where they established it was the body of a female adult.
Mr Kirui said that the body was decomposed, and the officers could not immediately ascertain if it had any injuries. It was later moved to the mortuary for further investigation and a postmortem.
He noted that a preliminary investigation established that Ms Waithera was murdered somewhere else and the body dumped there.
"We had taken her fingerprints so that it would help us identify it, but I have been told that the family has identified the body. They should come forward and help us in our investigation. The postmortem will help know the cause of death," he said
