As Kenya marks the first anniversary of the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on October 15, 2025, attention turns to his newly constructed mausoleum at Kang’o ka Jaramogi, the Odinga family homestead in Bondo, Siaya County.

President William Ruto commissioned the mausoleum on October 7, 2026, unveiling a memorial that brings together Raila’s political legacy, family history and the traditions of the Luo community.
