During an interview last week, the Mama hit-maker said Davido is not his friend although he (Davido) has expressed interest in working with him.
“We have never spoken but he has been in touch with my management. He’s not my friend but a fellow artiste; I love and respect his work,” said Alikiba when asked whether he had spoken to Davido.
According to Alikiba, during a red carpet interview, Davido stated that he wanted to work with Alikiba, just not in the same way they did with Diamond. He also heard that The Number One remix was hurriedly done backstage because there was no time. Davido, however, wants to sit down with Alikiba and compose a song because he believes the Tanzanian artiste is highly talented.
