Often going hungry and struggling to pay school fees, he developed an intense determination.
Despite missing out on his dream school, Maseno, due to a lack of funds, and experiencing the heartbreaking loss of his father on the day he secured his first radio job, Jalang'o was determined to fulfil his father's dying wishes of educating his siblings and building a home for his mother.
