Sir Elvis to light up Bali’s Best Resort with special Nairobi show
Country music cover artiste Sir Elvis.
Popular country musician Sir Elvis will today be the highlight during a special country music show to be held at Bali’s Best Resort, Galleria Mall on Karen- Magadi Road.
Born Elvis Otieno, he was named after the legendary American singer Elvis Presley by his parents. He is known for some of his country songs, such as "Loving Man," alongside others. Every Wednesday, he performs at the Kapande Wilson in Langata near the Wilson Airport. On Sundays, he performs at the Jamlok Sports Bar inside Rubis Sabaki on Mombasa Road.
Meanwhile, for stand-up comedy fans, Doug Mutai and his team will today host a comedy show at the Suave Kitchen and Social Club in Nairobi. Entry is Sh2500.
At the Muze Club in Westlands, Nairobi, today marks the third edition of the Kijane show. Visiting South African DJ and producer Tira, alongside Turkish DJ Mahmut Orman, are expected to thrill revellers at the venue. The Carnivore Restaurant will on April 2 host The Florida Experience Madhouse and F2. According to the organisers, it will be an opportunity to bring together the Madhouse & F2 families for a special reunion featuring music of the 90s and 2000s classics.
For rhumba fans, the Bilenge Musica International band led by Lesasa Jocker perform on Sundays at the Pitstop Grill on Langata Road in Nairobi. For chess enthusiasts within Nairobi, it will be an all-Girls/ladies Chess Tournament – dubbed Chess DADA to be held today at Kiota School on State house road in Nairobi.
Elsewhere, a special show for music fans in Embakasi and its environs dubbed Lakeside Tunes is set to be held today at the HB Flight Embakasi on Airport North Road, Nairobi. The show to start at 6pm will feature performances by Emma Jalamo and Javan Mac Ajudo. The show starts at 6pm. Entrance is Sh1,000.
Meanwhile, Jalamo is due to perform tomorrow at the Anchor Address, Marurui on the Northern Bypass in the outskirts of Nairobi. He is known for some of his popular songs like Utanikumbuka. We Chayo Jathum, and Amilo Nyar Nyakach . At the Ngong racecourse tomorrow, there will be a Horse Racing Afterparty. It will feature food, drinks and a curated pop-up market. Dress code is smart casual. Entrance is Sh600. The show starts at 4pm.
DJ Marto Sibuor hosts Rhumba Fridays at the Villa Park Lounge and Grill on Tom Mboya Street, Nairobi. On Tuesdays, he hosts Vasha Rhumba Tuesdays at the Leyian Grills (next to NCBA Bank) in Naivasha town.
At the Ballpoint Social Club, Village Market Gigiri lined up on March 21 is the Coffee, Cocktails and Conversations show. According to the organisers, the event dedicated to women will be a powerful reminder of their strength, brilliance, and resilience. Entrance is Sh2,800 ( individual) and Sh6,000 (group of 6), Show starts at 2pm.
