Ohangla fans in Mombasa will on Saturday night be treated to a special show by Ohangla sensation Emma Jalamo at the Samba Bistro Sports Bar Bamburi in Mombasa.

The show dubbed ‘Saturday Special Show’ is part of a number of Jamhuri Day eve shows lined up at various spots across the country. 

Jalamo, who is currently doing well with his latest Piny Otimo Buru single, is well known for some of his earlier songs such as Mapenzi, Jaraha and Osiepe.  

The show, which begins at 6pm, will be hosted by MC Ogina Kok.  Entry fee is Sh500.

Still in Mombasa, Amitie Musica Band, led by Crispen Tambwe, will be performing this weekend (Friday to Sunday) at Summit Grill with the shows starting at 1pm and ending at 7pm.

The group specialises in both new and old rhumba songs. Lately, they have been rehearsing special songs for the Jamhuri Day weekend shows.

Meanwhile, the ‘Eldoret Festival’ will go down at Poa Place Resort in Eldoret town next Saturday. The show will feature performances by Bensoul, Chris Kaiga, Nviiri the Storyteller, Sweetstar and Sasha DMB.

The show will be hosted by DJ Thew, MC Nickthtrend, DJ Nosh, Mista C and Felix Kayrakkie with entry fee at Sh1,000 (advance) and Sh1,200 (gate). 

Event organisers have asked revellers to adhere to the Ministry of Health protocol health guidelines.

Elsewhere, the Charm Lounge in Roysambu Estate will on Sunday host the Mugithi Invasion show featuring performances by DJ Faxto and Wanja Asali.  

The two will perform in alternate sessions. There will be plenty of drinks and delicious African cuisines for revelers during the show starts 4pm until late into the night.
