New Year beach festival at Nyali

For revellers at the coast, the B-Club on Bungalow Road at Nyali beach will today host a New Year’s Day beach Party featuring performances by Tanzanian Bongo musician Marioo.
He is best known for some of his songs like Inatosha, Raha and Chibonge. Also expected today will be media personality Eric Omondi. Tomorrow the same spot will host the Sauti Sol Group. Entrance is Sh2,000 and Sh3,500 (VIP).
Elsewhere the Samba Bistro Sports Bar at Bamburi in Mombasa will today host the second edition of the “Crossover Party”. Revellers will be entertained by DJ Empire who will team up with DJ Arrow and DJ Calvin.
Elsewhere, for rhumba fans in Mombasa the Amitie Musica Band led by Crispen Tambwe is on stage at the Summit Grill VOK Mombasa every Friday to Sunday. Shows start at 1pm and end at 7pm. The group specilases in both new and old rhumba songs.
There will be more rhumba action tonight at the JM Lounge at Lavington (opposite Quickmatt Othaya Road, where the Bilenge Musica band led by Darzee Kalend is expected to perform.
Tomorrow the same group will perform at the Treasure Gardens at Kilimani in Nairobi.
Sensational dancer and singer Kanda J unior has resumed club shows at various spots inside and outside Nairobi. Every Wednesday, he performs at Club City Space on Moi Avenue (opp galitos), while on Thursdays he performs at Club Lacasa lounge in Kahawa Wendani. On Fridays he performs at Club Country Muthiga, while on Saturdays at Club City Platinum next to Kenya cinema plaza.
