Covid-19: South Sudan reopens schools after 6-month lockdown

Information minister Michael Makuei confirmed the development, saying it followed a comprehensive study by the National Taskforce on Covid-19.
Mr Makuei added that the council also lifted the ban on working hours, saying that starting next week, office will open from 8am to 5pm.

South Sudan’s Council of Ministers has lifted the ban on learning that President Salva Kiir imposed in March in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus ins schools.
