Charles Were: Murdered MP to be buried on May 9

What you need to know:

  • A delegation of MPs will conduct a site visit to Mr Were's rural home on May 3.
  • ODM party will drape Mr Were's casket with party colours during the final ceremony.



Kasipul MP Charles Ong’ondo Were, who was shot dead on Wednesday night in Nairobi, will be buried on Friday May 9.

This is according to plans finalised by a parliamentary funeral committee led by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma.
