What you need to know:

  • The 98 new patients were found after 1,644 samples were analysed in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of samples tested in the country to 518,350.
  • In terms of distribution by counties, Dr Aman said Nairobi recorded 32 cases, Mombasa 20, Meru and Uasin Gishu eight each, Kiambu five, and Kisumu, Migori and Machakos four each.

The Health ministry on Monday announced 98 more cases of Covid-19 in Kenya as well as 62 more recoveries and two more deaths. 

This raised the national tallies since March 13, when Kenya's first case of the coronavirus was confirmed, to 37,079, 23,949 and 650, respectively.
