The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) tests will continue as planned tomorrow (Friday Nov 1) despite a public holiday announcement, the national exams body has confirmed.

Kenya National Examinations Council boss David Njeng’ere told Nation that although the Interior Ministry had gazetted Friday as a public holiday due to the planned swearing-in of Prof Kindiki Kithure, it was too late to change KCSE plans.

"It's too late to change and that would cause more confusion. These are practicals and the teachers have already set up. It affects only a small population, so we'll proceed as planned," he said.

The practicals slated for tomorrow are Home Science, Art and Design, Power Mechanics, Electricity, Drawing and Design, Aviation Technology and Computer Studies
