Motorists using Uhuru Highway and Haile Selassie Avenue in Nairobi have been urged to plan ahead of temporary night-time road closures beginning this weekend, as the Kenya National Highways Authority (Kenha) carries out essential road works.
In a statement shared on its official X account on Thursday, January 15, 2026, Kenha reminded the public of a notice issued on January 9, 2026, announcing that several sections around the Uhuru Highway–Haile Selassie Avenue Roundabout will be closed to traffic from Friday, January 16, to Sunday, January 18, 2026.
