Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki is has been sworn-in as Kenya's Deputy President.

The ceremony was held at the Kenyatta International Convention Center on Friday morning from 10am.

The event follows Thursday's ruling by a three-judge bench that cleared the way for Prof Kindiki's swearing-in as the Deputy President.

The outgoing Interior Cabinet Secretary will now become Kenya's 13th second-in-command since independence.
