Labour court has stopped the ongoing interviews for the recruitment of Data Commissioner, pending the determination of a case filed by a city lawyer.
Justice Hellen Wasilwa put on hold the interviews, which started Tuesday morning, following an application by lawyer Adrian Kamotho, who claimed the process was irregular for breaching timeliness and mandatory procedures.
The Labour court has ordered the government to suspend the ongoing recruitment of Data Commissioner pending hearing and determination of a petition filed by lawyer Adrian Kamotho.
The order issued Tuesday by judge Hellen Wasilwa is directed to the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Attorney-General.
