A Nairobi court has granted police 21 days to detain John Kyama Wambua, 29, who is accused of brutally murdering and dismembering his wife, Joy Fridah Munani, just three weeks into their marriage.
Wambua, a carpenter, was arrested on January 20 near Kelly Towers in Huruma during a routine police patrol. Officers stopped him after noticing his nervous behaviour and a heavy backpack, which, upon inspection, revealed mutilated human remains.
