Nakuru Chief Magistrate Edna Nyaloti, in her ruling, directed that the Senator avails himself at DCI offices every Friday.

The magistrate also barred Mr Linturi from commenting on the matter.

The police had filed a miscellaneous application seeking to be allowed to detain him for seven more days to conclude investigations.

However, the magistrate argued that the Prosecution failed to give compelling reasons to warrant denying the politician his right to liberty.

Mr Linturi was detained for two days after he was arrested on Saturday for describing opponents of the DP as “madoadoa” during a rally in Eldoret.
