Nairobi and Mombasa governors Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Ali Hassan Joho, respectively, were among the leaders who sought admission to universities.
Nairobi, Moi, Kenyatta, Mt Kenya and Maseno universities lead in the number of their graduates elected on August 8.
