Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has resigned as Azimio Coalition Party executive director.

In a letter to the coalition chairman, Uhuru Kenyatta, on Monday, Mr Tuju said he had handed over to Philip Kisia.

“May I communicate my decision to resign as the Executive Director of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party that I communicated to you and the Council this morning at the joint meeting of the Council and the NEC,” he wrote.

He added: “By copy of this letter, I communicate the decision of the council this morning that I hand over to Mr Philip Kisia, who will be the new executive director of the party.”
