Ruto nominates outgoing KRA boss Wattanga as High Commissioner to South Africa
Former Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner-General Humphrey Wattanga.
President William Ruto has appointed the outgoing Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner-General, Humphrey Wattanga, as Kenya’s High Commissioner to South Africa.
His nomination comes hours after KRA Board Chair Ndiritu Muriithi announced that Wattanga had proceeded on terminal leave, four months to the end of his tenure.
In an announcement by the Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, President Ruto also nominated former Meru County Chief of Staff, Dr Julius Murori Mbijiwe as the Kenyan envoy to Vatican, the Holy See.
Ambassador Irene Maswan and Ambassador Judy Muthoni Njau were also nominated as deputy ambassadors to the United Kingdom and Belgium respectively.
