Showmax to air NTV shows in new deal

The Nation Media Group (NMG) has signed a partnership agreement with MultiChoice Kenya Ltd to to start airing NTV programmes on its Showmax digital platform.

NMG chief executive Stephen Gitagama on Wednesday said the partnership will enable NTV to expand its viewership.

“As NMG, we are proud to serve our audience in whichever way. Having NTV on the Show max will help us achieve our goal,” said Mr Gitagama

The CEO said the partnership will also enhance the relationship between MultiChoice and NMG.

NMG programmes currently air on DSTV and GOtv.

Multichoice Managing Director Nancy Mutimu said the pay-tv company is committed to the partnership with NMG.

 ShowMax is a digital platform that offers entertainment shows. Audiences are able to stream or download series, movies, Showmax originals and children shows.

By partnering with NTV, viewers will be able to stream programmes on their mobile phones at a cost of Sh380 per month.

“We are happy to partner with NMG and we are proud to have NTV airing on Showmax,” said Ms Matimu.

“As we look into the future, we will be exited to produce more content for our audience,” she added.
