MP finds excuse for being stingy

A lawmaker is the talk of the town for finding a perfect excuse for colleagues, termed as her stingy habit. The politician is said to be good at pointing out how she does not belong to any political camp when confronted with demands for contributions to major causes or “something small”. In the latest incident, when a group of youths confronted the MP after a meeting to give something to cushion them against the harsh economic times, the lawmaker bluntly told them that they should ask those who belong to the camp that gets handouts every week from powerful offices in government.

Senator angered by PS changes

The recent reorganisation to fill the position of the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Energy is reported to have angered a senator who was propping up a candidate for the post. The senator, according to our little bird, was hoping that a candidate from his community would be considered for the position. According to our source in Parliament, the senator claimed that he had even met power brokers who had assured him that the position would be filled with his preferred candidate. However, when the Head of Public Service made the announcement on Thursday, the senator’s candidate was nowhere on the list. The lawmaker has vowed to review his support for the government ahead of the 2027 polls.

Residents of Kilimani are a frustrated lot over a noisy entertainment joint located in the neighbourhood that gives them sleepless nights. Shockingly, despite numerous reports to authorities, including a local police station, nothing has changed. In fact, armed officers are often spotted guarding the joint, raising questions about the owner’s influence. Talk of Town understands that the club belongs to a child of a powerful politician, and nothing can be done about the noise. In the latest incident, a policeman who was manning the joint made it clear to the residents that they were on their own.

An official in one of the political parties is regretting engaging in local politics after discovering the people who were present were staff of a senior State officer. The party official who visited a neighbouring country for a State function took advantage to tell whoever was around how a leader from his region is a useless man. Unknown to him is that among those present during the juicy gossip were staff of the State officer who relayed the information in real time to their boss. The party official is now seeking mercy as the State officer promised to finish him politically, including ensuring that he loses his powerful position in the party

Isolated for ditching the party

A State officer is a man under siege. Why? The man, after ditching his party, is now isolated by all leaders from his county. Political leaders from the region have been spreading news to the locals that the man sold his party to the highest bidders in government and can no longer be trusted to lead the region in any negotiation. The leaders have told the State officer to shift his politics to a neighbouring county. The big man is now in panic mode as he cannot fully start engaging in local politics due to the sensitive office he holds. He has, however, promised to deal with his opponents when the IEBC announces the campaign period.
