Five men have expressed interest in running for AFC Leopards’ chairmanship during the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) set for June 29.
They are former international Boniface Ambani, outgoing treasurer Oliver Napali, former club CEO Ronald Namayi, U-45 branch chairman Olympia Musonye and Enosh Mutoka who served as the club Commercial Director under the current regime.
Respected human resource and administration expert Asava Kadima has announced he will vie for the Secretary General seat that has also attracted Robert Situma, Jesse Tetei and Irene Wekesa.
Kadima was elected in 2011 as assistant secretary General before replacing George Aladwa as the acting Secretary General.
Incumbent chairman Dan Shikanda is ineligible to vie as he has served two terms from 2019 to 2025.
Confirming the candidature of the eight aspirants, club Secretary General Gilbert Andugu, who will not defend his seat citing personal reasons, said the club has also extended membership renewal from March 31 to April 29.
