“It’s an honour for NMG to receive the EPL trophy, a privilege given our strong presence in sports. Football brings people together, and it feels great to be here with the trophy,” Mr Odundo, who is a fan of 13-time EPL champions Manchester United, said.
Mr Odundo said the trophy reminded him of the 13 league titles Manchester United won under their former coach Sir Alex Ferguson.
“Manchester United won 20th league title under Sir Alex Ferguson, and it remains an unforgettable memory from my childhood. Growing up a United fan, idolising players like (David) Beckham and (Ryan) Giggs makes me confident we will return to glory this year despite the current rebuilding phase,” he observed.
