Last season, she finished tied in second place with teammate Puren Alukwe, both scoring 15 goals, just one behind Tumaini Waliaula—formerly of four-time FKF-WPL champions Vihiga Queens and now with Sirens Grivna in Greece.
Among the thousands of fans at the stadium were her proud father, Julius Okwaro, and elder brother, Moses Okwaro, who beamed with pride as they watched her stellar performance.
Afraha Stadium in Nakuru County was transformed into a scene of jubilation on Sunday as Kenya Police Bullets striker Rebecca Okwaro celebrated winning the Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League (FKF-WPL) Golden Boot award.
Rebecca, who grew up playing football in the slums of Kwa Rhonda and Kaptembwa on the outskirts of Nakuru City, scored twice in their 4-0 win over Trinity Starlets in their final match of the 2024/2025 season.
