Update: IG Kanja changes his tune, says he'll be in court on January 27.

Earlier, Inspector-General of Police Douglas Kanja said he will appear before a judge regarding the abduction of three men in Mlolongo "when the time comes".

Speaking on Tuesday, he said investigations into abduction cases are at an advanced stage.

"Hakuna shida yeyote, wakati wa kufika kortini, mimi mwenyewe nitafika binafsi (There's no problem, when the time comes I'll present myself in court)," he said.
