KCSE: Two suspects arrested for impersonating candidates, Knec rules out increasing invigilators' pay

Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) boss David Njengere has confirmed that two suspects were arrested for impersonating candidates in the KCSE exam.
"So far we have two cases of impersonation reported on Monday -- one in Kilifi and another in Nairobi-- as we speak they are in police custody," he said Tuesday.
Speaking in Murang’a when he supervised the distribution of the exam papers, Dr Njengere said a multi-agency team is also on standby to counter any incident that may arise.
He also ruled out increasing invigilators' pay, saying there is no budgetary allocation for that.
Dr Njengere said the stipends were reviewed last year and that the same rates will be used to pay the invigilators this year.
