Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza will stay in office longer after the High Court extended orders suspending her impeachment until her petition is heard and determined.

This means Ms Mwangaza will continue to serve as Meru Governor for a further 120 days or until determination is made on the case.

Justice Bahati Mwamuye said there is great public interest in the matter.
