Oburu Oginga is ODM's official party leader following ratification by the SDC

The ODM Special Delegates Convention ratified Oburu Oginga as the official party leader, Gladys Wanga as chairperson and Simba Arati and Abdulswamad Nassir as deputy party leaders.

Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi was kicked out as co-deputy party leader, becoming the first lawmaker in Linda Mwananchi camp of an Oburu-led purge.

Meanwhile, Senator Edwin Sifuna held a parallel ODM meeting at Ufungamano House, attended by James Orengo and Babu Owino.  

Oginga hosted his at Jamhuri Grounds, Nairobi.
