Retrogressing • The country risks sliding into “retrogressive and sectarian” politics, warns Taabu Tele, disappointed with the failure to build on the late President Mwai Kibaki’s legacy of “unmatched economic progress”. He adds: “The 2010 Constitution has been bastardised, pushing the country back towards an imperial presidency, suffocating us daily with a lack of quality.” His email address is [email protected].

Preservation • The struggle to keep Karura Forest intact has been quite costly since the campaign by the late Nobel laureate Wangari Maathai, says David Kigo. “This will be the best gift to all those who have tirelessly fought for its preservation over the years. The authorities should lead the preservation of forests not only in Nairobi, but also throughout the republic.” His contact is [email protected].

Security • Universities must ensure that their students are safe by enhancing security on their campuses, says Sammy Angwech. “Students are often attacked and robbed of their mobile phones. Love triangles have also contributed to the rising number of tragic deaths in the institutions. Parents should also advise their children to be careful to avert such occurrences.” His contact is [email protected].

Technology • The US/Israel-Iran war, Brian Maitai notes, “has shown that technological prowess and competence mean everything while natural resources, such as oil, are an Achilles’ heel”. He adds: “The government should sponsor 1,000 computer science graduates to study AI, robotics, high-level programming, and app development in the top US universities.” His contact is [email protected].

Hydration • Drinking “enough water daily keeps our bodies energised, helps to improve our concentration at work, supports digestion, and prevents dehydration”, says a health-conscious Pamilla Mugure Mbotela. She adds: “Let’s all make it a habit to drink water regularly, in fact, several times every day, to not just stay refreshed, but also to protect our overall health.” Her email address is [email protected].

Have a healthy day, won’t you!
