On Saturday, February 28, 2025, Jamii Deposit-Taking (DT) Sacco Society Ltd unveiled its latest strategic plan, a detailed roadmap to transformation and growth. This milestone came only a few months after the Sacco opened its first satellite office in Nakuru, taking its services closer to members in the South Rift Valley region.

The launch of the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan at the head office in South ‘B’ Estate in Nairobi, was witnessed by the Sacco’s leadership, staff members, and diverse co-operative sector stakeholders.

The new Jamii DT Sacco’s strategic plan, themed “Transformation and Growth”, charts a bold roadmap for achieving the Sacco’s mandate. Building on past successes, it sets clear priorities, targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and responsibilities, ensuring focused, efficient execution.  The plan envisions Jamii DT Sacco as a dynamic, vibrant, financial institution delivering reliable, high‑quality solutions that comprehensively meet the evolving needs of members and customers.

It builds on previous achievements and focuses on expanding membership and financial resources, delivering quality products and services, and fostering a competent, motivated workforce supported by a committed Board.

The Sacco aspires to increase Total Asset Base by 12.15 percent per annum from Ksh6.2 billion as at December 31, 2025, to Ksh10 billion by December 31, 2030.

Over that period, the Sacco plans to grow the Loan Portfolio from Ksh4.18 billion as at December 31, 2025 to Ksh7.1 billion by December 31, 2030. Yet another goal is to increase Gross Revenue Income by 10 percent per annum from Ksh744 million currently to Ksh1 billion by December 31, 2030. The Sacco further intends to grow the Non-Withdrawable Deposit (NWD) from Ksh4 billion as at December 31, 2025 to Ksh6.8 billion by December 31, 2030.

Another key strategic objective is to improve and enhance customer experience by creating a more member-centred Back Office Services Activity (BOSA) and Front Office Services Activity FOSA environments that emphasise convenience, comfort, respect, responsiveness and empathy. The plan is to also grow membership from 27,000 to 38,411 over the five-year period.

The Sacco’s membership of 27,000 represents a meaningful reach across Kenya’s population. Jamii DT Sacco remains a key contributor to national development, as it continues to support both rural and urban communities by offering reliable financial services that enhance livelihoods, promote resilience, and support the country’s long-term socio-economic progress.

Through its savings and credit products for small businesses, agriculture, housing, and asset acquisition, Jamii Sacco contributes to job creation, increased household income, and long‑term wealth building for its members.

To get even closer to members, the Sacco has begun opening satellite offices in the country. The first was Nakuru, opened mid-2025. The strategic plan outlines how Jamii DT Sacco will carry out this expansion, with new satellite offices planned for Kisumu and Mombasa.
