Student killed in fight over girlfriend, another defiled in Kakamega

What you need to know:

  • Villagers said they were shocked when it was reported that the two fought over a Standard Eight pupil and that one died after being stabbed in the chest with a knife.
  • In neighbouring Kakamega South Sub-county, a 76-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling his granddaughter.

A Form Three student from Kakamega County has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing another to death in a fight over a girlfriend.

Kakamega East Sub-county Police Commander Robert Makau said police were investigating the Monday night incident at Lutoto village, Ilesi location.
