The body of the 12-year-old pupil was found on Friday morning on the pathway to the family's home.
According to witnesses, the body had been butchered, with the tongue and genitals removed.
The body was discovered at 6am by children going to school.
In 2016, a man was hacked to death in the nearby Tono shopping centre.
