Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi had been trounced by his predecessor Joshua Irungu in Tuesday’s elections, according to provisional results. 

Mr Muriithi, the chairperson of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya campaign board, garnered 48,812 votes.
