Detectives in Meru believe a protracted land dispute is linked to the murder of North Imenti Constituency Development Fund (CDF) committee member Evelyne Mukiri, who was hacked to death at her home on August 7.

Mukiri was murdered by a man who walked into her home in Chabuene village, Imenti East, and asked for a cup of water as she prepared supper with her 13-year-old grandson.
