Two assistant chiefs and a police officer are in trouble after a 16-year-old girl was defiled in Kangema, Murang’a.
Kangema deputy county commissioner Agnes Kaloki said one of the assistant chiefs is in police custody and that detectives are looking for the other two suspects.
Residents of Mwisho wa Raha were Tuesday night baying for the blood of the suspects who allegedly committed the offence inside the Aberdare Forest.
Locals became suspicious when they saw the Form Three girl in the company of the policeman and the two assistant chiefs going into the forest.
The girl said that she was ordered by the policeman to meet him near the forest.

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, who toured Murang’a County Wednesday, condemned the incident and promised to make sure that the perpetrators face justice.
