One body has been retrieved from the debris of a 14-storey building under construction that collapsed in Nairobi’s South C on Friday.

The body was found by rescuers as search and recovery efforts entered the third day.

On Saturday, Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku said authorities revised the number of those feared trapped from four to two after reviewing CCTV footage from the incident. He said it showed that two believed to have been trapped had managed to make their way out.

This means rescuers are now looking for one more person from the building's debris.
