CHOPPER CRASH: Six people killed after helicopter bursts into flames in Mosop, Nandi, County police boss Samuel Mukuusi confirms; identities of 4:45 pm accident victims yet to be confirmed.

As of 7:25 pm on Saturday, the bodies of the six victims have not yet been evacuated from the scene.

Tindiret MP Julius Melly and Senator Samson Cherargei are at the scene.

The helicopter was extensively damaged after hitting three large trees.

Nandi North OCPD Simon Muli confirmed the recovery of documents belonging to a KFS ranger at the Mosop site.

Mr Muli said the identities of the five others remains unknown.
