President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, said “I do” to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in a romantic beachfront wedding in Mwanza, Tanzania, on Friday, November 6.
The wedding was attended by prominent guests, including friends of President Ruto. The President wore a beige fedora, black trousers, a red patterned coat with suspenders and a bow tie.
First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto looked elegant in a dusty rose wide-brimmed hat and a blush floor-length gown featuring an intricate burgundy lace overlay and sheer embroidered sleeves.

The wedding marks another milestone in the couple’s relationship, following their traditional Koito ak chaik (engagement ceremony) held in August at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
Preparations for the wedding had offered glimpses of the celebrations, with Charlene sharing moments from her bridal shower and other wedding-related activities on social media.

On November 3, she posted photographs from her bridal shower, which had a white and purple colour scheme. She wore a classic white, A-line, sleeveless mini dress with a flared skirt, textured fabric, a split V-neckline and a notched round collar. Her hair was styled in a high, textured curly updo.
Guests were dressed mainly in pink, while the garden setting featured floral arrangements, decorative displays and a welcome sign bearing the words “Welcome to Charlene’s Bridal Shower”.
In her caption, she thanked the women she had shared different stages of her life with for celebrating her new chapter.
“Grateful that the amazing women I have done life with over the years chose to celebrate me in my new season,” she wrote.

She also spoke about the role of faith in her forthcoming marriage, describing Christ as their foundation and the Word as her guide as she begins life with her partner.
An invitation-style graphic subsequently circulated on social media, bearing the date November 6, 2026, the names Charlene and Isaya, and the words “For the wedding celebrations”. It also indicated that formal invitations would follow.
The couple have also featured in photographs shared by event and creative brand Manifester Brand, posing together outdoors. Charlene wore a flowing black gown, while Isaya was dressed in a black suit.

President Ruto also travelled to Mwanza ahead of the celebrations. Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi shared footage of the President’s arrival in the Tanzanian city.

On November 5, Charlene shared photographs of the couple from a photoshoot on her social media accounts. The album, titled “Joyfully Ever After”, showed her in a fit-and-flare white midi dress with a tailored bodice cinched at the waist and a gently flared skirt.
Paired with a long lace bridal veil, the dress gave her a classic bridal look reminiscent of the swing era of the 1930s and 1940s.
In the photographs, Charlene appears to wear a two-tone wristwatch alongside a diamond ring. Her hair was styled with a deep side part, pulled back into a bun, with a side-swept wave falling across the right side of her face.
In some photographs, she poses beside a light green vintage convertible, adding to the classic styling of the shoot.
